In 79 years Ba has won the tournament for twenty four times and played seventeen finals. The Men-in Black won the tournament first in 1961 in Nadi where they defeated the host 2-1 in the final,
Ba made a history in 1980 when they won the title back to back for five times from 1975. They last won the Courts IDC in 2015 when they defeated Nadi 2-0 in the final at Govind Park in Ba.
Lautoka has named the IDC title sixteen times on their name in which they first won in 1941. They have lost eight finals.
The Sugar City boys last won the tournament in 2008 where they defeated Ba 1-0 at Govind Park in Ba. In the 2009 and 2010 they were crowned as runner-up.
Suva won the IDC for thirteen times and were runners-up for fifteen times. They were the first one to put their tag on the new Courts IDC trophy after defeating Nadi 1-0 at home in 2014.
Rewa has won the IDC for nine times and featured in the final for seven times. They were the first one to lift the Lloyd Farebrother trophy in 1938.The Delta Tigers last won the Courts IDC in 2010 defeating Lautoka 3-1 in the final at ANZ Stadium in Suva.
Nadi had featured in the finals of the IDC for eighteen times but had won only six times. Last they won the tournament was in 2002 when they defeated Rewa 1-0 in the final at Govind Park in Ba.
Labasa have won four times and were runners-up for three times. Nadroga won the IDC for 3 times and were also runners-up 3 times.
Nasinu, Tavua and Navua have all won the IDC title once.
The 2017 Courts IDC will played at Churchill Park in Lautoka from Tuesday October 10- 15.
