Construction Industry Council ready for conference

Concrete-Image-1-2zjth0h1vnlpe5w39ur474The Construction Industry Council is a step closer to finalizing its conference set for June 14, 15, 16 at the Warwick Resort on the Coral Coast following a meeting held with resort executives at the popular destination earlier this week, according to CIC President Gordon Jenkins.

A major part of the conference, according to Jenkins, will be a tradeshow to be held under tent adjacent to the resort’s 400-seat conference centre.

“There has already been substantial interest in the tradeshow from companies in both New Zealand and Australia as well as locally.  We expect a number of companies to exhibit.”

A special mailing will soon be sent out as part of a major ongoing promotion to encourage those in the industry, Government and suppliers to book early.

“We see this conference as an important event on the construction calendar addressing a number of issues that are negatively affecting our industry.  We need to fix these problems and believe that the conference will provide an important vehicle towards this end,” Jenkins concluded.
