CIC President Gordon Jenkins made the announcement after visiting the Warwick.
“Because of its unique location and the excellence of its facilities, the Warwick is the perfect venue for what we believe will be a significant tradeshow and conference.
“The Warwick conference room can comfortably seat 400 delegates and although it is early days we believe that issues the meeting will address will create substantial interest in the construction and Government circles.”
Jenkins said that he expects topics to be discussed that will include licensing the construction industry, developing an apprentice-training scheme, improving Occupational Health and Safety and working with the Chinese.
Jenkins believe this an opportunity for the industry to share its concerns with Government and the conference is being designed to ensure that there are outcomes in the form of resolutions.
