After successfully hosting the Oceania Championship in Suva in May, Fiji will host another tournament next month at the Vodafone arena.
Fiji will now host the Zonal championship and the Oceania Zonal qualifiers.
These two championships will be held in one week but it will surely be bigger than the Oceania championship.
‘You know this is important to have New Zealand in your home turf in Fiji, it will be very intimidating but I’m sure it will be a great match also inclusive with the Tongan national team,’James Summers, the Events Commissioner for the Oceania Volleyball Association said.
A lot of countries based around the central zone will be in Fiji but the highlight would be the inclusion of New Zealand and Tahiti.
Fiji, Tonga and the New Zealand mens sides will battle for one spot in the world championship qualification.
The two Oceania volleyball tournaments will be held at the Vodafone Arena from the 24th to the 29th of next month.
