Fiji womens hockey record back to back wins

HockeyFiji women’s hockey team stand a good chance of qualifying for next year’s Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.

The side is taking part in the qualifying event in Sydney in Oceania Cup and Oceania Intercontinental 5s.

The Fiji women recorded back to back wins, thrashing Solomon Islands 8-nil and holding off a fierce challenge from Samoa to win 6-4.

In the Hockey 5s, Australia Country remains unbeaten in the men’s and women’s competitions.

The men overwhelmed Tonga 17-2 and Solomon Islands 18-4, while the women defeated Tonga 12-3 and Solomon Islands 12-0.

Today is a rest day with both competitions resuming at the weekend.
