Former residents charged in Australia's second largest drug bust


Two former Fiji nationals aDUGS 1re amongst six people arrested and charged in what has been described as Australia’s second largest drug bust in its history.

This is after the seizure of almost 3 tonnes of ecstasy and narcotics worth more than $1.5 billion.

The shipment originated from Germany in Europe.

Three men have already faced the Parramatta Local Court yesterday.

They include Solomone Komai Vukici and Akuila Bisasa.

Vukici is unemployed, while his wife is a disability carer.

Police inquiries also show that Bisasa had access to $800,000 after selling his parents’ property on their behalf, and was in the process of moving his family to Fiji.

They will reappear in court on Wednesday.
