Fiji Football Association chief executive Mohammed Yusuf said they had met the relevant authorities where the dates and venue for the IDC were finalised.
“We can now confirm that the Courts IDC will be played in Lautoka which will start on the Fiji Day public holiday,”Yusuf said.
Yusuf said people wishing to witness the annual spectacle in Lautoka could now pencil in the dates on their itinerary.
“The date and venue is set, so people wishing to travel to Lautoka, especially from overseas can plan their trip,” Yusuf said.
“There will be 90-minute matches in both the senior and premier divisions. Pool matches will be played from Tuesday to Thursday. There will be a break on Friday.
“The semi-final will be played on Saturday while the finals will be played on the Sunday of that week.”
Yusuf said the IDC would be played at one venue unlike the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants where the group stage, semi-finals and final were played at different venues.
The Fiji FA ordinary congress will be held on October 13 which is marked as the rest day.
The positions of three vice-presidents will be contested for during the congress.
The positions are of Jiten Kumar (West), Jainendra Sukhu (South) and Girja Prasad (North) all of whose four-year term comes to an end in October.
