The Blues beat Ba 4-3 in the dreaded penalty shoot-out.
This was the 11th time the two sides were facing each other in the Courts Inter District Championship since it began in 1938.
The last time both teams met was in 2008 where the Blues came out victors and for Ba last time they won IDC was in 2015.
Lautoka were first on board in the 19th minute when Samuela Drudru was brought down by Meli Codro inside the penalty box.
Zibraaz Sahib stepped up and made no mistake from the penalty spot putting it beyond the reach of goalkeeper Josaia Ratu.
Ba in the second half came out strongly and good work by Meli Codro saw Abbu Zaid equalise in the 54th minute of play.
Both teams were locked at 1-all heading into the Extra Time and even could not find the winner after the 30 minutes of Extra Spell.
In the dreaded penalty shoot-out – Avinesh Swamy scored first.
Zibraaz Sahib scored his second in the final to level the scores.
Maviliko Nakama and Josefata Dugucagi were also on target from the penalty spot.
Lautoka then made change to their goalkeeper pulling out Ben Aminio and sending Senirusi Bokini.
Manasa Nawakula and Dave Radrigai then scored as both teams were still levelled at 3-all.
The tactical change did help Lautoka as Bokini went in the right direction to save Malakai Rakula’s shot.
Christphe Wasalasala had the chance to put Lautoka ahead and he made no mistake putting it past Misiwane Nairube.
Meli Codro had the chance to level the scores but his attempt was saved by Bokini.
In the end final score 4-3 on penalty shootout – Lautoka the champions of 2017 IDC.
Lautoka walked away with 22 thousand dollars first prize money while Ba settled for 6 thousand dollars for reaching the final.
