A $100,00 thousand dollars grant was handed over to the Ba Women’s Forum, to assist in the upgrading of facilities.
Signing the grant agreement, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Women, Children & Poverty Alleviation – Dr. Josefa Koroivueta, commended the forum as it brings in about 800 members, from 80 different multi ethnic, well established and reputable groups.
“The Fijian market has seen some of the excellent Fijian made products made by the forum. We have been the champion of the products because we know the quality and it also meets the international market. Not only that they aspire to continue to excel in the quality of the product. The Ba women’s foreign product can be seen in some of the duty free outlets now and I’m sure the $100,000 will go a long way to equip the facility with the needed cooking equipment’s,” Dr Josefa Koroivueta, PS Ministry of Women, Children & Poverty Alleviation.
This is the 7th year since the inception of the Ba women’s forum.
