DroughtThe total rainfall that was an impact of Tropical Cyclone Ula may have brought some relief however it is still not sufficient for those experiencing the drought.

Fiji Meteorological Director Ravind Kumar said more rain is needed to break the below rainfall average received so far.

He adds though the current wet season will bring rain, the strong El Nino event will affect the amount needed to ease the drought.

Meanwhile according to the recent Fiji Climate summary rain received during Tropical Cyclone Ula, was confined mostly to the Eastern parts, with Navua recording the highest rainfall of 102.3mm on the 23rd of last month.
