Reddy's body arrives into the country

guThe body of the late Shalit Muni Reddy arrived into the country from Samoa this morning.

Fiji’s Under 17 and 20 footballers, families and friends turned out in numbers at the Nadi International Airport to receive Reddy, back home.

His team mates and Fiji Under 20 reps – escorted him from inside the Nadi International Airport..

For Fiji Football, today will be hard to erase from its history books.

“He was a great player and we played from primary school we went happy and never though we will be coming back like this”, said Balainaqaqa

It was an emotional moment for families and friends present at the Airport..

His team mates from Nadi Muslim College were also present.

“If only I lost a great player like him and we have decided the Nadi Muslim College will dedicate all their football tournament to him and also the  IDC”, said Balainaqaqa

Reddy’s loss has given encouragement to his school mates and teachers who are already aiming high ahead of  this years Secondary Schools Football championships…

Reddy’s body will depart for his family home in Malolo Nadi around 9.30am  tomorrow.

He will be later buried at the Nadovi Cemetary at 1pm.
