The Minister for Agriculture, Inia Seruiratu received a courtesy visit from the new Chinese Ambassador to Fiji, Qian Bo.
During the visit this week, Seruiratu and Ambassador Bo discussed opportunities and common areas of cooperation on agriculture development.
Discussions focused on possible areas between the two countries to work more closely on development through training programs offered by the Chinese Government.
They also talked about collaborating on furthering Fiji’s Climate Change goals.
The meeting was also attended by the Permanent Secretary for Agriculture, David Kolitagane and Permanent Secretary for National Disaster Management Office, Meleti Bainimarama.
